Speed has not been sacrificed either in the search for quality. The APE Duplex is capable of running at 1500 feet per minute. The precision ground side frames and balanced rollers ensure quiet vibration free running. Increased productivity The Duplex Center Slitter Rewinder is the most productive Duplex Slitter Rewinder on the market. Capable of rewinding up to 40" diameter rolls the DU model ensures you get productiity plus. Features include auto roll loading unwind, splice table, trim rewinder, rewind with shear and tangenital for quadrant drive, locked or differential rewinding and turret roll unloading robot. High volume, efficient production are some of the features of the DU Slitter. All material handling is automated and makes this converter very user friendly. It can be operated by a single person with absolute ease. Ease of use Machine control is via a colour touch screen. All rewinding parameters are variable through-out the rewinding process. Length, diameter (both unwind and rewind) and pre-set stopping are all standard features. The automatic tension control is programmed to intergrate the rewind drives and nip roller section through a high level PLC. The same controller handles the unwind web tension control. Not only will your own maintenance operatives have access to the APE engineering team but trouble shooting can be done remotely through use of modem facilities linked direct to our Engineering Staff. Flexible design APE equipment is designed with future development in mind. The modular design allows you to select those options that best suit your current business but allow you to consider all options availble for future expansion. The control software can be updated remotely by our team of highly skilled engineers via use of external modem. No need for costly site visits or downtime. The machine is offered with shaftless unwind and differential or locked core rewinding and robotic unloading of finished rolls. Innovative technology The drive and control system incorporate the most modern and up to date technology. Gone are the days of costly motor maintenance in conventional DC systems. The APE duplex offers virtually maintenance free AC motor control from a common DC bus system. The number of control cable connections are minimised by the use of high speed data communications to the PLC and Windows based colour touch screen. Control and sequencing algorithms ensure the most optimum performance and through put of the rewinder.
