Top of the range The JM Two Drum Slitter Rewinder is the flagship of the APE converter range, providing the Converter with Mill capacity, speed and productivity in a very robust, heavily constructed and clever piece of equipment. The APE JM slitter rewinder provides you with a consistent high quality finished product coupled with high productivity in a simple to use and robust world-class piece of converting equipment. Lifting and stopping power The ergonomically designed self lifting shaftless unwind stand will comfortably handle a 5 ton roll of paper with maximum diameter of 72" and roll width to 120". The Montalvo Corporation pneumatic brakes provide all the stopping power and web tension you will need. Unloading of finished rolls could not be simpler with auto unloading via roll ejector and lowerator table. This feature allows your operator to invest the time in setting up the next roll ready for processing, there is even an APE Pre-Loader supplied optionally with every JM for easy delivery of your rolls direct to the Unwind. Superior performance The rewind drums are independently driven with the front drum ceramic coated. Driving the rewind section is two Flux Vector drives in addition to the 2 web separation and knife bar drives. These units allow the machine to reach its maximum speed of 6000 feet per minute with ease. The machine is supplied with Tidland Performance Series pneumatic slitting knives on Tidland "Dovetail" rack. The fully loaded 11" knife bar makes for easier set up with the double-edged infinitely variable bottom knives offering up to 420 cutting faces Easy to use and manage The custom written user friendly control software has a recipe save feature giving the operator the ability to run repeat orders with the same build characteristics every time. It also allows tracking of machine and operator performance through management reporting direct to your own lap top if required, you can even adjust the tension control via load cells with integrated drive and brake control via PC. Additionally the machine can be linked direct to the APE engineering staff to provide diagnostic assistance and unparalleled fault finding capacity. An impressive piece of equipment The JM with a dry shipping weight of just over 32 tons is able to handle light weight coated and uncoated papers and be adaptable enough to move onto the next order and process heavy recycled board with equal efficiency. As with all the J Series Converter models flexibility is the key requirement to successful converting. Not only can cam operated chucks and adaptors or chucks of your choice be fitted to the machine but if the shaftless rewind which is supplied with 3" core chucks is not what you are looking for a range of other sizes are available.
